So here’s a case of a gamble paying off. Handsomely. Had spoken in this post about how India’s team selection for the second Test was a huge vote of confidence and hence, a part of the battle won before a shot was fired – or a coin tossed.
India have now gone on to a pretty healthy position. 610-3 dec. 58-5 and safe to say that Dravid would have slept well, Habibul Bashar would have stayed up all night and Dav Whatmore would have tossed and turned……..
A few records broken, but importantly , Dinesh Karthik gets his first Test century before the selectors meet for England and for the first time in Test history the top four all get hundreds. Dhoni walks in and gets a run a ball 50. And (yes, I know its Bangladesh) but there’s Viru, VVS, Yuvi, Irfan and Manoj Tewary still to be accomodated into this somewhere.
Oh and yes, Happy birthday, Ravi Shastri.
