Cric Info ? … ESPN ? … ESP ?

This is from Samir’s blog.

I’ll struggle to put up a introduction or conclusion that does justice to the exchange so I suggest you just read it.

First, Samir’s Letter to Cricinfo.. Then, Martin Williamson’s response to the letter and Samir’s response to it. And finally (assumption, mine), the response to the response

Its the “take it or leave it” bit that astonishes…

  1. Cheers Samir …

Its a Wisden base out there and thats going to show. One of the five cricketers of the year have to be English , even if they lose 0-5 and so on …

I’m curious tho. Its rare that a Letter to Ed gets that kinda reply. Does / Did Cricinfo know that its in the public domain ?

Also, loved the “disable that page and just install a button …” bit ..

    Hurrah !!

  2. Sorry for this late response; I was a bit surprised by the intemperate tone of Williamson’s response myself. I would have thought that he would either have ignored me, or written back with a politer, yet indifferent response. The “bugger-off” tone of the email from a Managing Editor, no less, was indeed surprising!

  3. It is perfect time to make some plans for the long run and it’s time to be happy. I’ve read this submit and if I could I wish to suggest you few attention-grabbing issues or advice. Perhaps you can write next articles relating to this article. I wish to learn even more issues approximately it!
